Playground news
More games. More discoveries. Your Playground.
A growing library is exciting. Helping you find your way through it is what matters.

Playground started because I kept losing links to games I wanted to try. Now there are more than a thousand games here, and I don’t want the site to become another place where a great find disappears into a long list.
The aim is still the same: help people discover games they might otherwise have missed, and shine a light on the people making them. Today, we’ve added a more personal way to do that.
Meet Your Playground. Save a game that catches your eye, come back to something you opened recently, and keep track of the ratings and reviews you’ve given. It’s a place for your next favourite, and the ones you want to return to.

You’ll also find six suggestions to try next, with a Show me more button whenever you want another six. These take cues from the games you save, open and rate, while making room for different genres and creators. They’re starting points for another discovery, rather than a promise that an algorithm knows your taste perfectly.
You can carry on as a guest, with your saved games and discovery history kept in this browser. Or create a free account with a username and email, using a password or Google sign-in, to take your collection between devices. Your username is public; your email and collection stay private to you and the Playground team.
There’s a little progression, too. Open a different game through Playground for 5 EXP, rate it for another 5, and add a written review for 10 more. Each of those rewards counts once per game. Your first published comment on each blog article earns 5 EXP too; further comments on that article don’t add more. Levels gradually take more EXP to reach, and your level appears beside your username on account-linked reviews and comments.

A one-star rating earns exactly the same EXP as a five-star rating. Honest feedback is what helps the next person decide whether a game is for them. Tell us what worked, what didn’t, or who might love it.
The games explored count records different games you open through Playground. It doesn’t measure how long you play on another site, and your progress inside those games stays with the games themselves.
Alongside the new gameplay previews, this gives you a few more ways to find something worth trying: see it in motion, save it for later, follow a suggestion or read what another player thought. We’ve added a Bookmark Playground button, too, to make finding your way back a little easier.
As the library grows, I want discovering a game here to feel more inviting. One good recommendation, one useful review or one saved link can lead you to something you’d never have searched for.
Make it Your Playground, and let me know in the comments: what would help you find your next favourite?
