Weekly picks Edition 02
Snowy slopes, a strange house and one very overgrown lawn
Fancy a run down a mountain, a kickabout or a mystery by the sea? This week’s five picks take you in very different directions. There’s even a lawn to mow, if your idea of switching off involves doing somebody else’s gardening.
These are discovery picks, not scored reviews. We checked the browser builds and early player feedback on 30 October 2026. Play counts mean games opened from Playground, and the small number of ratings is an early signal rather than a verdict. These are new picks, not necessarily new releases.
How we choose the five
We use recorded play clicks to spot interest, read player feedback and consider the number of ratings behind each average. Direct playtest reports help us understand what works. Rich’s reviews are one voice alongside everyone else’s. We then look for variety and room for less-discovered games, without calling the result a definitive “best games” list.

01 For a change of altitude
Fall Line
By Nipale-ai ↗
Fall Line gives you a snowy mountain to explore on skis or a snowboard. Steer down the slopes, find a jump and see what you can land. The open mountain and replay option make it a tempting place to start if you like chasing a better run.
Why this pick128 recorded game opens and two early ratings averaging 4.5/5. Its mountain setting makes a very different starting point from last week’s skatepark and kart track.

02 For a proper kickabout
Noname Soccer
Noname Soccer puts an eleven-a-side match in your browser, with training, adjustable match lengths and a local two-player option. Rich’s written review says it “feels right” — an encouraging reason to give this one a go if you’ve been looking for a browser football game.
Why this pick103 recorded game opens, plus Rich’s written 5/5 review. That is one player’s opinion, rather than a community consensus.

03 For taking the long way round
The Duke's Lawn
By @_MaxBlade ↗
The grounds of Wexcombe Park have gone wild. Take a tractor, switch on the blades and work your way around The Duke’s Lawn. The shared estate and leisurely gardening premise make this the quieter stop in the selection.
Why this pick154 recorded game opens and two ratings of 4/5, alongside a premise that offers something different from combat and racing.

04 For a fantasy escape
Arkenfall
By @LexnLin ↗
Arkenfall opens in a green valley with a glaive to collect and a world to mend. Its villages, mountains and fantasy creatures offer a more ambitious adventure to investigate when you want something beyond a quick score chase.
Why this pickThree early 5/5 ratings put it on the shortlist. We checked the opening quest and world, rather than completing the adventure.

05 For a mystery with music at its heart
Starstruck
A newspaper advert leads you to a house by the sea and a man who has not opened his door in twenty-seven years. Dave Greening’s Starstruck mixes small puzzles with fifteen of his piano pieces: recover the music, then guide a spark through what it gives off.
Why this pickA recent creator submission to our Reddit conversation, a distinctive musical premise and one early 5/5 rating. Mouse, touch and controller play are documented by the creator.
